Panasonic have announced major plans to launch a Panasonic Toughbook Tablet.
The tablet market literally ballooned in 2011! Back in 2010 before Apple released the 9.7-inch iPad, there were a dearth of quality and effective tablet pcs. Jump forward to 2011 and the market has completely changed. There is a rich array of quality tablets and by the end of 2011 the selection will be even more plentiful.
However, not every company that have shown tablet intentions have been able to get their devices to market just yet. And with the constant barrage of new offerings it’s easy to forget about which models are coming soon. What I will say though is that the Panasonic Toughbook tablet will be the first and only RUGGED Android tablet and according to Panasonic the tablet will be a enterprise ready. Perhaps it could do for tablets what blackberry did initially for mobile phone devices. This perhaps will give it a nice niche in this increasingly saturated market.
